The Department of International Secretarial Studies aims to nurture professional secretaries and professional office managers (a planning secretary) with highly expert knowledge and practical work skills needed for the era of globalization. The Department offers courses in international relations, office management, information technology, communication and foreign languages to develop the highly specialized abilities of the international secretaries to understand the changing business environment and the office management as well as to apply their knowledge in practice.
The educational goal of the Department of Economics & Finance is to nurture the workforce who possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of financial insurance to understand how to manage the company, the household economy, the national economy and the market economy as well as to make rational decisions. The department educates students about the basic principles of economics and finance as well as relevant subjects including business management, trade, and accounting to be business professionals specialized in planning field. The graduates are expected to understand the market economy and the principles of financial insurance and to apply their knowledge in practice. As the graduates of the Busan University of Foreign Studies, they are expected to acquire foreign language proficiency.

The Division aims to enhance the knowledge of the principles and practices of trade, logistics and distribution as well as foreign language proficiency and information processing ability for implementation ability. In addition, the object of the division is to make students pursue sound corporate ethics.
The educational goal of the Department of International Trade conduct is to nurture global trade professionals through a variety of case studies including the conclusion and implementation of the trade contract, the relationship between the trade laws and the trade practices, and trade disputes cases. Students of the department conduct research in the following fields: principles of international trade, changes of international trade policy, impacts of international trade on Korean economy, and changes of regional trade policy. In addition, the object of the Department is to develop foreign trade implementation capability through the improvement of practical trade knowledge, foreign language proficiency and adjustability of e-Commerce via the Internet.
The Department of Global Marketing aims to nurture distribution and logistic professionals who can immediately work in the fields after graduation. The department not only educates students about general principles of service business management and advanced knowledge of distribution and logistics, but also provides them with education and training courses including the capstone courses and internship to improve practical abilities of distribution and logistic. The graduates are expected to secure high competitiveness in the job market by acquiring competence to work in the fields including the distribution and logistics as well as the services, the global trade and the marketing.
As barriers of borders have disappeared in all sectors such as economy, society and culture of individual countries as well as people, materials, technology and culture are freely exchanged, international cooperation becomes more important along with global competitiveness. In other words, the unit of individual life as well as corporate management is being expanded from a single country to a global village and integrated into a single global system. In line with these changes, the Department educates students about the theoretical methodology to address the changing global business environment caused by globalization so that students apply their knowledge in practice.
